Washington 1948. During a post-war official visit to Washington, the great English statesman Sir Winston Churchill known as the "English bulldog" met our canine version "Hefty Wrinkles". The attraction between them was instantaneous and mutual and only the strict British quarantine conditions prevented "Hefty" from taking up residence at Clarence House. |
